What Zionsville homes are actually like

Zionsville pairs a genuinely historic village core — brick streets, older homes with original detail — with newer estate properties on larger lots outside it. Those are two different cleaning jobs. Surveyed in November 1851 and established that January of 1852, the town owes its name to a small courtesy: proprietor Elijah Cross offered to call it Marysville after his wife, she declined, and he asked his partner William Zion to lend his name instead. Zion was a railroad director, and the town grew along the line he helped bring through the Eagle Creek valley.
