Accessibility Statement

This site should be usable by everyone who wants to book a cleaning — including people who navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader, magnify the page, or need less motion on screen.

We treat accessibility as part of building the site correctly, not as an extra feature. Where we fall short, we want to know about it.

This site is built using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as its working reference.

We want to be precise about what that means: WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard we design and build against. It is not a claim of certified conformance. This site has not been audited by an independent accessibility expert or testing organization, and no third party has verified it. If that changes, this page will say so and will name who performed the review and when.

These are specific measures built into the site, not general intentions:

• Text and background colors are checked against a measured contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, calculated from relative luminance rather than judged by eye.
• Animation is limited to a short fade and a 16-pixel shift. If your system is set to 'reduce motion', that animation and the background video are turned off entirely.
• A 'skip to content' link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches, so the navigation doesn't have to be tabbed through on every page.
• Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard. The mobile menu announces itself as a dialog, and closes with the Escape key.
• Images that carry meaning have alternative text. Images that are purely decorative are hidden from screen readers instead of being described.
• The background video is silent, plays without user action only as decoration, and never carries information that isn't also in the text.
• Pages use real headings in order, real lists, and real landmarks, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
• The page language is declared on the document itself, in the HTML that arrives from the server, so a screen reader uses the right pronunciation from the first word rather than after a script runs. The site is published in English only.
• Form fields have visible labels, and errors are announced in text rather than shown only as a color change.

We would rather list these than let you find them:

• When the mobile menu is open, keyboard focus can still move to the page behind it. The menu closes with the Escape key, and the site is fully usable without opening it.
• The interactive service-area map is a visual aid. Every city it shows is also listed as text links directly beneath it, and each has its own page — no information exists only inside the map.
• The site has not yet been tested with screen readers or other assistive technology by someone who uses them daily. Until it has, treat the list above as what the code does — not as a result anyone has confirmed in practice.

If any part of this site stops you from doing what you came to do, please tell us. A short description of what you were trying to do and what happened is enough — you don't need to know the technical cause.
